You can apply this logic to any style house. Instead, you can narrow your choices to warm browns and driftwood grays. For instance, if you have a farmhouse, tropical wood is not a good fit. You can narrow down deck color choices based on the style of your home. Here are three tips for picking your deck color. Since you won’t be replacing your deck for at least 20 years, choosing the right color is important. How to Choose a Trex Deck Color for Your HouseĮven though Trex has four popular colors, that doesn’t automatically mean they are the right choices for your home. Right now, Transcend Lineage only comes in two colors: Biscayne and Rainier. It has an authentic wood look, is cooler under the feet, and resists rot, mildew, scratches, and fading. The newest line from Trex is Transcend Lineage. You can get Trex Transcend in the following colors: Island Mist, Tiki Torch, Havana Gold, Spiced Rum, Lava Rock, Gravel Path, Rope Swing, and Vintage Lantern. It also comes in three of the four most popular shades. Trex Transcend is the next level up from Select. Trex Select comes in five colors: Pebble Gray, Winchester Gray, Select Saddle, Woodland Brown, and Madeira. It’s a low-maintenance composite decking with a hard shell to better withstand the weather and mold. You can get Trex Enhance in the following colors: Foggy Wharf, Rocky Harbor, Toasted Sand, Coastal Bluff, Beach Dune, Enhance Saddle, and Clam Shell. The deck boards are scalloped, lightweight, and low maintenance. Trex Enhance is their introductory composite decking product. Here’s an overview of which colors come with which types of Trex decking. There are still 18 other shades to checkout. So if the four most popular aren’t on your favorites list, no problem. Trex has a total of 22 colors of composite decking. Type of Trex Decking and the Colors it Comes In It’s also the only popular color that isn’t a warm brown. Island Mist works well for coastal style and rustic homes. Island Mist is a silvery gray with the look and feel of natural wood grain. It provides a nice contrast against light-colored houses. Spiced Rum is another versatile color that works well for most homes. It’s dark, but not so dark that it will burn your feet when you step on it. Spiced Rum is a medium to a darker brown with onyx black lowlights. Tiki torch looks great against warm-colored siding and stucco. Its grain and color mimic tropical teakwood. Tiki Torch is a light brown with slightly orange undertones. Tiki TorchĪfter tropical vibes? Then Tiki Torch is the color for you. It’s also our top pick for more traditionally styled homes. If you’re looking for a deck color guaranteed to look good with your home, this is probably it. It’s a warm medium brown with graning that resembles natural wood. Saddle is one of the most versatile decking colors. Here’s a deeper dive into Trex’s top-selling deck colors. It’s no surprise that warm browns sell so well since they emulate natural wood and look great next to any siding color. Out of the four most popular Trex decking colors, three are warm browns, and one is gray. Not a fast walker? Don’t panic! nuiza11 / ShutterstockĪlthough there was a correlation between slower walking and a shorter lifespan, the study did not determine that merely walking slowly CAUSED a decline in lifespan. Still, if you’re walking slower it could be the sign of undiagnosed health issues. In fact, studies have shown that the health benefits of light activity have been underestimated. Both fast walks and leisurely strolls are important for health. This doesn’t mean that you need to walk fast to get important health benefits. If 1.0 meters/second could mean greater than average life expectancy, than anything greater than that could mean exceptional life expectancy. The study concluded that gait speeds faster than 1.0 meters/second could be indicative of healthier aging, whereas speeds slower than 0.6 meters/second could represent a declining health status. People with average walking speeds (0.8 m/s) had average lifespans, while those with above-average speeds (1.0 m/s or greater) lived longer than average! It found that walking speed is correlated with how long people live. The 2011 study, originally published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), evaluated “the relationship between gait speed and survival” among 34,485 individuals over 65 (average age 73.5). Average walking speed by age:īut how can you tell if you are indeed keeping a brisk pace? We’ve covered the average speed for different people, but you can check your speed as well! Does walking faster mean living longer? Lordn / Shutterstock According to a 2011 study using accelerometers for accurate speed tracking, average walking speed was affected by a walker’s age. It also should be noted that your regular, relaxed walking speed is slower than your brisk, fitness walking speed. What may not have been “brisk” when we were younger is now a good, brisk pace. As we age, our walking speed naturally declines. The average human walks 3-4 miles per hour when keeping a brisk pace. What is the average walking speed? So for a system backup, I would have a comprehensive backup plan that backs up the system multiple times per week and then keeps several chains of incremental backups that go back a couple of months and stores those backups on the server. I do not have surveillance footage on the server at this time, but I might have it in the future and I would to hear about how people who have that are dealing with it.įor personal data (including projects, work, study etc), I keep it on my main laptop, on OneDrive (some 1TB available there and extremely cheap), on the server (syncs from OneDrive) and as backups (also on the same server, but on another drive than the OneDrive folder).įor the backups themselves, I don't use any kind of protection (if they're gone, then they're gone, I'll just make new ones) but I do run additional backup plans that store backups locally on my other computers and laptops. Most of the data I have on the server is personal data, backups and media. Server Redundancy Technique (RAID, FileSync-ing, Backups etc) I also have some SATA SSDs (Samsung 860) in the server that I have set in RAID 0 (through software) which I am using them to store and run my virtual machines from them. Personally, I've started with some Seagate IronWolf 6TB hard drives and then jumped on Seagate Exos 10TB hard drives. I know this topic is quite wide-ranging, but I felt it would not have made a lot of sense if I broke it in two or three different posts. I am also wondering what redundancy techniques and software are people using on those servers/NAS/etc and on their personal devices that they are backing up to their home server. The program supports advanced features, such as wiping disk space after operations, changing advanced parameters such as the buffer size, enabling Shell Extension functionality to access the program from the right-click menu or via drag & drop, and more.Ī new GitHub repository was created recently that is already being issued for issues reporting and information.I am curious what hard drives and SSDs are people using on their home servers/NAS/video surveillance storage and generally for large home data storage. With FastCopy, you get the additional benefit of verifications, which provides you with proof that the copied files are not corrupt. File Explorer transfers will take longer to complete and they may be more taxing to the system. It is especially useful when you are copying large amounts of data, as File Explorer is not suited for these operations. Versions 4.0.1 and 4.0.2 address issues in FastCopy 4 and 4.0.1 respectively.įastCopy is an easy to use program. The remaining changes fix issues in the application.

Online calculators, meanwhile, can tell you how many calories you expend each day, but it’s at best an approximation. For instance, there’s the “health halo” bias, which makes us more likely to underestimate calories in foods that are marketed as healthful. Unconscious biases can further skew our calorie estimates. For example, in a survey of 2,200 adults, consumers’ guesses about calories in popular restaurant foods ranging from pancakes to onion rings undershot the reality by an average of 165 calories. And according to research, these numbers are notoriously unreliable. The actual count, according to research, is 129-a sizable difference.Īccurate or not, calorie counts aren’t available for everything we eat, so we sometimes have to rely on our own estimates. As a result, the body doesn’t absorb all 170 calories. But this number doesn’t take into account the fact that almonds pass through the intestines partly undigested. Nutrition labels show them to have up to 170 calories per ounce. Listed calories may also be wrong because of the way our bodies digest certain foods. With ice cream, if you eat a cup (a normal amount) rather than 2/3 cup (the usual serving size), you could be getting as many as 325 calories instead of the 180 listed on the label. Making matters worse is the widespread problem of unrealistic serving sizes. That means, for example, that ice cream claiming to have 180 calories per serving may actually have 215. In fact, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allows numbers on nutrition labels to be off by as much as 20 percent, and usually the error is an undercount. The advanced input stage provides CMR and is not just a balanced connector! Top that off with a large pancake style torroidal transformer and the Model 2220 delivers a cool yet potent performance. In terms of performance, this monoblock provides neutral, accurate playback. Servicing, well that's easy too send just the single monoblock to Outlaw and keep running all your other channels! IMPORTANT: Please know, this amplifier has a floating ground tap and is the pre-goundwire revision, meaning the power cable has no earth connection. as weve reviewed Outlaws 200 watt per channel monoblock amplifiers and a 90. The monoprice is 200 watts and the Outlaw is 120 watts with all channels driven. Both the Outlaw 5000 and the Monoprice 5 channel amp have tested very well. Comes with the box as well and packing materials as well (though no manual). Outlaw Audios model 7100 seven channel amplifier sells for 899 plus. RobVFX said: Hey all, I am debating getting myself an amp. You want to know how a monoblock provides more flexibility than a multi-channel amplifier? Well, they run cooler and are the only amplifier we sell that you can stack! At just under 1.75RU, placement is as easy as it comes. All channels tested and work great It features 5 separate unbalanced RCA inputs that feed 5 standard speaker connections. Like our other 200 watt amplifiers, this amp will drive virtually any 4 ohm nominal load (or above) that you throw at it. These single channel amplifiers may be small in height, but they pack a big punch! The Model 2220 is a 200-watt amplifier. We've always designed our monoblock amplifiers with two things in mind: performance and flexibility. Every new challenge is an excuse to offer a fresh piece of content, while hidden collectibles unlock optional DLC, such as “sexy” NPC costumes, a useless pet, and armor for the horse you never use. Ledge too high? Collect enough scratch and acquire a double jump. If you're missing a dead body, and Serana is with you, try backtracking.Need a sword? You can hammer “X” at a grindstone roughly 10,000 times, or you can buy a perk from the shopkeeper to speed up the process. I got lucky this time, and I hope this may prove useful to someone else. What are the odds? FYI: I thought I had this thing nailed as a bug - one confirmed on the Wiki- in which none of the elves had the key. You see- when you're a vampire, you tend to ignore the sizzling sounds of daytime fast travels after a while. And it died when I fast traveled to the ship. Apparently Serana raised one of the elves without me noticing. I remembered that I went back to my Solitude home to upgrade Seranas armor before I even thought about approaching the Abandoned Lodge's door. I looked down saw an ash pile on the ship (on the Windhelm side). so I fast traveled to the "To Skyrim" arrow. I scoured the area and was driving myself crazy trying to find the 4th. I was scratching my head and was wondering about my main game again so I decided to save and reload it. = UPDATE = Hahaha. So I was playing on that old save.Just As i just rescued the blacksmith, I decided to count the bodies. Talk to Deor, and the quest to find Baldor will begin. Return to Skaal Village and you'll soon overhear a conversation outside about the missing blacksmith (use the Back button to wait if necessary). Complete this task as soon as possible, before progressing further in the story. As soon as you reach the point in the DLC's main storyline where the Skaal are freely moving about their village (after The Fate of the Skaal quest), talk to Fanari Strong-Voice and she will give you a Miscellaneous task to find a bandit leader. Whether it's a bug or not, here are some things you need to make sure you do so that you don't have to replay a lot of the DLC to get this one: - When freeing the Skaal from Miraak's control at the Wind Stone, make sure none of them die, especially Fanari Strong-Voice and Deor Woodcutter. UPDATE: Some people have reported this achievement as missable. However, the DLC allows you to respec any of your previously-selected perks at the end of the main questline, so don't worry if you have a maxed-out character and haven't unlocked Ebony Smithing. Important note: Stalhrim is tied to Ebony in the game's smithing system, so in addition to the above you must also have the Ebony Smithing perk unlocked in the Smithing perk tree (requires 80 skill level in Smithing) in order to get this achievement. If you need some of the material itself, it can be found in various locations around Solstheim, but you'll also receive a map at the end of the sidequest that points you to a location with a large amount of the material for mining. At the end of this multi-part sidequest, Baldor will teach you to craft with Stalhrim. This will begin the A New Source of Stalhrim sidequest. Talk to some of the residents and you'll learn that the town's blacksmith, Baldor Iron-Shaper, has been abducted. In order to learn the ability to craft using Stalhrim, make your way to the Skaal Village in the northeast part of Solstheim (the main story of Dragonborn will take you there at several points, and you may need to progress a bit in the main story in order to open up the needed sidequest). Go to Raven Rock Mine, convince Crescius to give you the pickaxe, and then return it to the blacksmith. The easiest way to get one: When you arrive in Raven Rock at the beginning of the DLC, speak to the blacksmith Glover Mallory and he'll give you a task to fetch one for him. First things first: in order to mine Stalhrim deposits, you'll need a special pickaxe called the Ancient Nordic Pickaxe.
Soon enough you can persuade anyone to do what you want. I did find the skill checks on dialog a bit too easy though. Speaking of which, the cities are really nice! They’re fun, well crafted and big/interesting cities to explore.ĭialog is fun and the decisions you make actually make a difference towards the end result of the game. They are however, quite empty besides the main locations, and you should not expect to bump into too many special spots or sudden side quests, most of these are acquired in the main cities. The game itself looks great, and has some fun environments to explore. Don’t expect too much of those either though, they’re mostly fetch quests. There’s some side quests as well, and if you love those, I think you can count on some 40-50 hours of gameplay(with the DLC’s). Both are really fun and if you ask me, even better than the main game. I played the Spacers Choice edition, which also included 2 new story lines. It’s short however, I would guess around 12 hours if you skip the side quests. It’s nothing to write home about, but good enough to keep it interesting. The main story can be hard to follow at first, but picks up towards the end. Let’s look at the Outer Worlds as its own game. Yes you can roam around and find the occasional side quest, but it doesn’t have the lore and small hidden spots to discover that Fallout games have. Locations are well crafted, look beautiful and are fun to explore, but don’t have nearly the amount of content Fallout has for example. Instead of one big open world, you travel the galaxy and enter smaller semi-open worlds, comparable to the Borderlands games for example. The biggest difference between the two for me is the world and its setup. NPC’s also have the same stale Bethesda look on their faces, and dialog options with skill checks also remind me of Fallout. Some systems like VATS, terminals with information and logs, the skill upgrades are all very similar. But it does have some mechanics & systems that are almost exactly the same and clearly expired by Fallout. I expected it to be just like the old Fallout games. I kind of forgot about it after I didn’t buy it at launch, and just recently acquired it. As a big fan of the Fallout franchise, a game made by the original creators of Fallout & the creators of Fallout New Vegas this seemed to be the perfect game for me. The Outer Worlds: Spacers Choice Edition launches on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, PS2, X and X e’s from the PS4.The outer worlds caught my eye back when it came out. Take a step, build a crew and explore all the settlements, the space stations, and other intriguing places around Halcyon. They control everything except the alien monsters left behind when the colony’s terraforming of the two planets didn’t exactly go according to plan. Go out of the corporate colossa: Halcyon is a colony on the edge of the galaxy owned and operated by a corporation. It’s yours to help them achieve their own goals. All these companions have different abilities, with which they have their own missions, motivations and ideals. You can’t just change your choices for the story, but also for the character’s, and the resentment for the story, for the end game.Ĭontempler! If you journey through the furthest colony, you will meet a host of characters who want to join you in the crew. The storyr, the player-driven storyr, is yours, in line with Obsidian tradition. Here’s the full list of features which come with the Spacers Edition: If you’ve got the game and the DLC, it’s time to upgrade for the Spacers Choice Edition for almost 90 dollars. The Spacers Choice Edition will include the Outer Worlds-Basegame, as well as two of its DLCs in Murder on Eridanos and Peril on Gorgon. This will be available on March 7th and will be available across different platforms. That new version of sci-fi action RPG comes with several features and improvements to the game. It was recently announced that Outer Worlds: Spacers Edition was named. |
